If Sleep Is For The Weak…

…then apparently my body is pretty strong, because whenever I want to go to sleep, I can’t. Mind you, whenever I want to get up I have a similar problem, so perhaps I am weak in a different way.

This week has been one of idle nothingness and lots of new music. I feel like I did last year, when I was stuck in Bournemouth on my own all the time (in fact, I am even on my own right now! though I do have house mates I can hang out with during the majority of the time here).

Heroes season 2 is as awesome as the first one, which surprised me to an extent because I was expecting the writers to trip up, I’ll add it to one of the many awesome sci-fi shows that have come out in the last decade. We’re really being treated well in the naughties what with Dr Who, Torchwood (i guess), Sarah Connor Chronicles, Heroes, Flash Gordon and the Bionicle Woman, which I haven’t seen but looks pretty good… Even looking back a bit, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, Enterprise, Andromeda, Stargate, we’ve been gifted!

I’m also enjoying watching through a back catalogue of Batman: The Animated Series and Batman Beyond, or if you’re not illegally downloading them and you remember the REAL name, Batman of the Future. I got tired of waiting for the DVD releases over here, by the looks of it the Batman box sets did not do well enough in HMV, and they are withdrawing any further releases… the bastards. Still, I contemplated getting a region 2 box set, but even then I am dissuaded by the fact that I couldn’t play the DVD on whatever dvd player I want. Meh.

I decided not to review Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Crystal Skull right now because I want to catch another view (yes, I said I wouldn’t) before I can actually make my mind up about it. I’m conflicted between the first half of the movie, which was awesome, and the second half, which ruined it for me. It’s not like you need me to tell you what you think, anyway, so go out and watch it by yourself!

Just remember to hate it appropriately or I will hurt you.
